Acid Cobra Records is the brainchild of Amaury Cambuzat (Ulan Bator / Faust). After years of hope and delusion with the music business, Amaury has decided to create his own new label with the intention to develop and produce his own different projects, and also other artists he likes artistically. To launch the new label, Acid Cobra Records is releasing a new Ulan Bator EP intitled "soleils" (featuring James Johnston playing organ). Release date April 2009. |

Drawing on long time sources of inspiration from Gainsbourg to the 70's rock of Can, "Soleils", deftly combines haunting pop melody with soaring guitar driven drama. Final track "Tabou" slowly develops from a beautiful lilting ballad into a stunning instrumental rage, it's chord patterns never predictable, but always immediate and affecting as the track continues to build. A stunning closer to the record, Ulan Bator's music remains timeless, and completely contemporary.
