| Producer / Mixer / Re-Mixer / Label BossWelcome to Myspace. I've been prompted to do this as an On-U Sound / Adrian Sherwood info page. Hopefully all On-U Sound associates and crew will have a way of being contacted via here or better still on their own 'space'.It is with regret that, excluding Japan, it has been four years since the last new On-U label productions were released,this doesnt include my solo albums "Never Trust A Hippy" & "Becoming A Cliche" or Little Axe's excellent "Stone Cold Ohio" who our friends at Real World records released). We intend to change things!Recently completed is a truly wonderful folk album by Ian King who has co-produced with Skip McDonald and myself ... "King... Of England". This is a truly original, sexed up english folk record. Ian has a beautiful voice and is a great singer / songwriter / musician and the record was modelled, production-wise, on Bim Sherman's "Miracle".I / We have been very busy - A new On-U compilation "Let The Robots Melt" will be out at the end of the summer on the On-U label. It will feature all new, un-released tracks / versions from Lee "Scratch" Perry, Samia Farah,Alan Glen, African Head Charge,Mutant Hi Fi, Mark Stewart, New Age Steppers (new recordings), Harry Beckett, Tuffasonics (LSK), Ian King, Little Axe, Junior Delgado, Doug Wimbish (new recordings) & Denise Sherwood.Mark Stewarts first album in many years "Edit" has just been released on Crippled Dick/Hotwax label (Onu Sound Japan)NEW AND FORTHCOMING : After 18 months we have just completed work on a new Lee "Scratch" Perry album, "The Mighty Upsetter". We are delighted with it as it is quite possibly the best Lee Perry vocal album for over 25 years
Released May/early June via Beatink/Onu (Japan only) and Aug/Sept. Via Onu U.K./Rest of world... Also a complete original Dub album of this with other "songs"not on "The Mighty Upsetter"will be available early 2009HARRY BECKETT ... "The modern Sound Of Harry Beckett" will also be initially released in Japan via Onu at the same time as "The Mighty Upsetter"and hopefully via Bluenote later this year (or again possibly via Onu)
This album is very special and i hope it gets the attention it deserves.AFRICAN HEAD CHARGE ... "Vision Of a Psychedelic Africa" We are optimistic that despite

Soon Come?Definitely Coming Soon (but not on On-U) - Samia Farah's "The Many Moods Of Samia Farah" - Produced by her and mixed by me. - Tuffasonics Ft LSK ..."Tuffasonics", produced by Lee Kenny and also mixed by yours truly at Soho Studios .Just completed at Real World studios, a new Little Axe album"Bought for a Dollar Sold For a Dime" featuring vocals by Bernard Fowler, the legendary Ken Boothe,Dabi Toure, Kevin Gibbs, Saz Bell and Valerie Skeete alongside Skip. Alan Glen on harmonica and with Keith Le Blanc (drums) and Doug Wimbish (bass) joining "the boss" Skip Mcdonald who as well as playing guitar, plays some bass, keys, bv's and adds his divine horn arrangements with The Crispy Horns crew.. Recorded and engineered at the wonderful Real World studio by Marco MiglianJust released... Reverend and the Makers' "Sundown On The Empire" Sherwood re-mix out now on Wall of SoundDuring March Adrian and Skip were producing Kiwi singer/songwriter legend Dave Dobbyn. Working at On-U and Livingstone studios with Dave's band and our crew.Just completed is a Moody Boyz remix of "God Smiled" by Lee Perry. This is one of a few we are hoping to get done prior to the forthcoming Upsetter album release. Digital Mystikz , Kode9, Burial and Congo Natty are hopefully doing versions and others are planned.An Onu/Sherwood DVD featuring over 25 years of largely unseen footage is planned .It will be produced/directed by Beat Ink Japan for worldwide distribution. Many things such as Lee Perry burying HIS t.v. in my garden watched by a laughing Bim Sherman and a very young Max Sherwood(my son) All of the Bim/Skip/bonjo accoustic footage and all sorts of interviews ,gigs and many other bits and bits!!! New footage will also be added to this page in a few weeks time as well as lots of other new tracks.Many More Events related to On-U are currently being confirmed, so watch this space!Thanks for all the positive messages and its good to make contact with so many old friends.
