| .. LOCOMOTIVE RECORDS was founded in 1996 by musicproducer Goyo Esteban. Since their existance over the past 10 years, the company was able to develop itself as one of the biggest Independentlabels of Europe, Southamerica and finaly the USA. With well-known artists of the Rock-, Metal- and Punkrockscene (a.o. Doro, Mägo de Oz, Tankard, Holy Moses, Blackmores Night, Bonfire, Grave Digger, Prong, Astral Doors, Tierra Santa, Peter & The Test Tube Babies), and as US licensor for big Indielabels, Locomotive Records was able to acquire a fantastic reputation in the international musicscene. MyGen Profile Generator www.mrc30.de HIGHLIGHT JUNE 2008 [GRENOUER!!!] Until recently GRENOUER who hails from St. Petersburg has remained largely unknown outside the native Russia despite having several albums under their belt and cult status in their homeland. Only in 2007 the band signed a contract with the British label Casket Music to release the fifth album ‘Try’, finally bringing them into the international arena. With this album they broke away from the confines of Death Metal and achieved a more experimental sound by fusing polyrhythms into the structure of their songs as well as industrial influences. This album was well received worldwide by a large number of musical publications, including big names such as Hard Rock; Kerrang; Rock Sound & Metal Hammer, with the majority of critics drawing comparisons with Meshuggah & Fear Factory. In parallel GRENOUER commenced working on new material with the intention of achieving far more. The recording took place in the Finnish ASTIA Studio with the Producer Anssi Kippo (Children Of Bodom, Norther, Impaled Nazarene, Lullacry, etc.) resulting in the new album titled ‘Lifelong Days’: 11 songs which combine modern metal, hardcore & rock bound together with well-hidden intricate polyrhythmic components. In 2008 GRENOUER got signed to Locomotive Records which opens up for the band new vistas. This summer GRENOUER is confirmed for several international festivals to play together with Pro Pain, Cradle of Filth, Paradise Lost, Carcass and more!
