| Sunbury ~ All She Claims ~ &035;2 Welcome to the official Myspace page of Sunbury.Sunbury is based out of Anchorage, Alaska and fronted by singer/songwriter/guitarist Russ Perry . Russ comes off of playing guitar/vocals with one of Alaska's most popular rock band, The Hoons. Perry needed another outlet for his music so he parted ways with his former band mates and Sunbury was born in the Spring of 2008. With another favorite Anchorage band (Kill Tango) going through a change in THEIR line up in 2008, the timing was perfect for Andy Ladd (Bassist) and Catherine Liguori (Keyboards) to team up with Perry to form the main unit that is now Sunbury. With the beats provided by Matt Janssen, a powerful and experienced drummer who also drums for the band Last Train in Anchorage, the band is now complete. With thoughtful and deep lyrics set to a nice blend of distorted and clean guitars and piano, and with influences such as Silverchair (Australia), and North American bands like Foo Fighters, Mae, and Our Lady Peace (Canada), this reasonably new band should make it to the shared heights of Alaska's tight community of hard working bands and musicians in the coming years.
