| Crée en 1988 le XALAT de Dakar s'est produit sur les scènes musicales nationales.Sacré meilleur groupe régional par le Ministère de la culture sénégalaise 3 ans après sa création.Xalat : Abdou Mbaya fort de ses rencontres musicales internationales comme celle à Los Angeles avec Jason Hann (batteur de Stevie Wonder) avec lequel il chante 2 titres sur " Africa Dream", puis avec Paco Sery avec lequel il enregistre le titre "Win" de l'album "Voyages" pour EMI.Aujourd'hui en France, il se tourne vers un genre nouveau et original : le Mbalakh Fusion, mélange de rythmes Wolof, Sérère, Pular et fusionnés avec des sonorités Jazz,Beat,Rock,Raggae ...Il chante avec son timbre de voix si particulier et fait vibrer son public en franco-WolofSa philosophie : "le bonheur de l'humanité c'est se respecter, se tolérer et se protéger"
Le devenir des hommes et leur bien être...Actuellement il prépare la sortie de son nouvel album.......................................................
