| Umberto Viggiano nasce a Taranto nel 1978, vive a Bernalda (mt) , si avvicina alla chitarra all’età di 14 anni, i primi studi gli esegue con maestri privati che progressivamente lo avvicinano al jazz.. Nel 2003 frequenta i corsi dell Università della Musica in Roma, studiando con Fabio Mariani, Rocco Zifarelli, Emanuele Basentini, diplomandosi. Negli anni matura sempre più la sua passione per il jazz classico facendosi influenzare da musicisti quali Luis Armstrong, Bobby Hackett, Bix Beiderbecke, Eddie Lang, approfondendo la ritmica swing. Nel 2005 scopre la musica del grande Django Reinhardt a cui dedicherà numerosi studi con insegnanti quali Holzmano Lagrene, Lollo Maier, Jacopo Martini. Numerosissime sono le collaborazioni con artisti di fama nazionale e internazionale, tra cui Lino Patruno,Gianluca Galvani, Carlo Ficini, Attilio Troiano, Giuseppe Venezia,Gianfilippo Direnzo,Luigi Terranova, Vincenzo Cristallo,Mino Lacirignola, Pino Pichierri, Muzio Petrella, Roberto Pistolesi , Giuseppe Bassi, Tommaso Scannapieco, Micheal Supnik,Giorgio Cuscito e tanti altri. Svolge intensa attività concertistica esibendosi in svariati festival e club nazionali ed internazionali.ABOUT UMBERTO VIGGIANO... Umberto Viggiano was born n Taranto in 1978, he lives in Bernalda (Mt). He started playing the guitar when he was 14; at the beninning he studied with private masters with them Umberto had the first approach to the jazz music. In 2003, he attended the Music University in Rome, studying with Fabio Mariani, Rocco Zifarelli, Emanuele Basentini and took a diploma the following year. As years go by, Umbero was more and more interested in classical jazz, infact was influenced by Luis Armstrong, Bobby Hackett, Bix Beiderbecke, Eddie Lang ;also studying swing rhythm in depth. In 2005, Umberto discovered the great Django Reinhardt's music which influenced his following studies; in this period he studied with Holzmano Lagrene, Lollo Maier, Jacopo Martini.
