Myspace Layouts at Pimp-My-Profile.com / Red darkness DIMMI ARGUS was born Dimitar Argirov on August, 24-th, 1967 in Sevlievo, Bulgaria as a second child of one of the most famous Bulgarian Folk singers Ilia Argirov (http://ensemble-pirin.com/eng/about/index.htm). He formed his fist band Pinko at the age of 15 in Blagoevgrad – the city where he lived till he was 18, where he played both bass and rhythm guitars. He took his major influences and first inspirations from Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Rainbow, AC/DC, Judas Priest and White Snake. When he did the Military Service in 1987, his family moved to Sofia and he began studying at the Medical Academy of Sofia. In the same time he met the members of his first professional band – EPIZOD (http://www.epizod.com) . The lyrics of the songs of the band were written by the french classic Francois Villon and the image and spirit of the shows were in middle aged style. For a period of only 6 months Epizod gained popularity with its rock-theatre Shows and did something like 100 gigs all over the country in less than two years. They used a gallow, coffin, cross, and some torture attributes on stage.For its first appearance at the Rock Festival in Vidin, the group gained the first award. TV shows followed, then a participation in the Rock Ring Festival at the Academic Stadium of Sofia, where the band came on the stage with powerful motorcycles. Then came a concert in Universiada Hall – the biggest hall in Sofia and the band succeeded to fill it with Heavy Metal Fans. This is the first concert after the democratic changes in Bulgaria that has put together in one place thousands of people just for one Heavy Metal Band. In September 1989 Dimmi left the university and dedicated himself only to the music. He married his wife Elly in the early 1990 and in September the same year they all together with some members of the band moved to Holland. It was a calm period for him as a musician, he dedicated more time to his family and to his newly born son Kristofer. He took part only in some local cover bands. In February 1993 Dimmi and his family moved to Italy, where he is still living. In Milan ,in 1996 he met Martino Vercesi, Lorenzo Casu And Domenico Gallelli and formed Cassandra – a prog metal band, inspired by the Dream Theater music. Later on came the bassist Ulli Giugliano (http://www.myspace.com/blacksandband) . Cassandra did some gigs in Milan and surroundings like a Dream Theater tribute band also performing songs of Queensryche, Helloween, and other Prog Metal and power metal bands. There were well accepted all songs from their demo “Second Sight” , written from 1997 to 2000 and released in 2000. Meanwhile, Dimmi was singing with Roger Nussi (http://www.heavyshow.com/) in the Chakrah (http://www.chakrah.com/) – a local cover band. In 2001 Dimmi decided to go ahead alone as the Heavy Metal singer DIMMI ARGUS. Till now he had taken part in some concerts like a guest musician and that was all. He completely changed his conception and dedicated himself to composing music for his future album “Black And White” in style Heavy Metal 80’s and which should be released till the end of 2008. Forma is suo primo gruppo Pinco all'eta' di 15 anni a Blagoevgrad - la citta' dove ha vissuto fino i 18. Li canta e suona il basso e Chitarra. Liu aveva preso le sue prime influenze ed ispirazioni dai Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Rainbow, AC/DC, Judas Priest and White Snake. Dopo il servizio militare nel 1987, la sua famiglia si e' spostata a Sofia e liu comincio' a studiare medicina presso l'Academia Medica di Sofia. Nello stesso tempo ha incontrato i membri del suo primo gropo professionale - EPIZOD (http://www.epizod.com). I testi delle canzoni erano stati presi dal poeta francese Francois Villon ed il immage del gruppo e lo spirito dei spettacoli erano in stile mediovale. In soli sei mesi gli EPIZOD guadagnarono popolarita e diventarono famosi con i suoi esibizioni da rock teatro e hanno fatto qualcosa cme 100 apparizioni in meno di due anni. Sul palco usavano la forca, barra da morto, falce, un enorme croce ed altri atributi appartenenti a quelli tempi. Per la sua prima uscita al Rock festival di Vidin il gruppo ha preso il primo premio. Poi apparizioni in TV, radio e la partecipazione al Rock-Ring Festival a Sofia nello Stadio Accademico, dove davanti a piu' di 10.000 persone il gruppo e uscito sul palco sui pottenti moto con le fiaccole accese in mano. Dopo e arrivato il concerto nella sala piu' grande a Sofia - Uneversiada, quale il gruppo ha riuscito e riempire con Heavy Metal Fans. Questo e' stato il primo concerto Rock in Bulgaria dopo la caduta del comunismo, che ha riunito migliaia di giovani in un posto soltanto per un solo gruppo Metal. A settembre 1989 Dimmi lascio' l'universita e dedico' tutto il suo tempo alla musica. I primi del 1990 sposo' sua moglie Elly e poi a settembre insieme ad alcuni membri del gruppo parti' per l'Olanda. E stato un periodo calmo per lui come musicista, dedicando piu tempo alla sua fmiglia ed al suo appena nato figlio Kristofer. Ha soltanto fatto parte di alcuni locali cover band. Nel Febbraio 1993 Dimmi insieme la famiglia si spostano in Italia, dove vivono ancora. Nel 1996 lui incontro' a Milano Martino Vercesi e Domenico Gallelli ed Insieme a Lorenzo Casu' formarono i Cassandra - prog metal band ispirata della musica dei Dream Theater. Piu' tardi arrivo' il bassista Ulli Giugliano(www.myspace.com/blacksandband). I Cassandra hanno fatto alcuni concerti a Milano e hinterland come tributo agli Dream Theater, e prog metal cover band , presentando pezzi anche dei Queensryche, Helloween ed altri stile prog e power metal. Erano ben accettati dal publico anche tutti i loro propri pezzi del disco demo "Secon Sight" , che il gruppo ha scritto da 1997 a 2000 ed a autoprodotto nel 2000. Nello stesso tempo Dimmi cantava con Roger Nussi (http://www.heavyshow.com/) nei Chakrah (http://www.chakrah.com) che in questi tempi era una Cover Band locale. Nel 2001 Dimmi ha deciso di andare avanti da solo come il cantante Heavy Metal DIMMI ARGUS. Fino al giorno d'oggi ha partecipato in alcuni concerti come guest e questo era tutto. Ogi Dimmi sta lavorando e componendo musica per un suo album solo "Black & White"che uscira' entro la fine del 2008 con la partecipazione di diversi musicisti con quali ha lavorato ed ha incontrato da 1982 ad oggi. Attualmente Dimmi sta anche lavorando con i Logart (http://www.myspace.com/arguslogart) - un gruppo Metal di Piacenza che ha conosciuto a Novembre 2007.
