| The Adventures of the Overgrown Oatmeal: A computer game for the non-gamers, The Adventures of the Overgrown Oatmeal is a scrolling platform adventure game designed for those who miss games that were simple, creative, and most importantly, fun! Based off a comic book I created in the sixth grade, The Adventures of the Overgrown Oatmeal was made with the SGDK2 game engine, using 100% hand-drawn pencil sketches, bringing to life a world of middle school student doodles. The game itself is free, free to try, free to play, free to keep, free to trash. You may download it here: OGO Game . It is a Windows-only game, with my apologies to those with other operating systems. I highly suggest having at least a 2 GHz processor, with at least 1 Gb of RAM. Also, it is a large download (100 MB), so if you have dial-up or a slow connection, you may not want to attempt it. About the game: You are the Overgrown Oatmeal, and you find yourself suddenly in the middle of town, with no understanding of who you are or why you exist. All you know is, some upper management type is trying to kill you. This is unacceptable! You make your way through town, hidden caves, across the sea, through the woods, ride the rails, climb mountain peaks, all the while trying to stop the man who wants to end your questionable existence. What will the end reveal? Only you can find out! The controls are listed in the game, they're quite simple: Movement: arrow keys Jump: left-control Shoot: space With over a dozen levels of gameplay, it's a great way to kill a lunch break, or at least give you a chance to play something at work that doesn't begin with "mine" and end with "sweeper."
