| IN ENGLISH:This space is an homege to the music of Jorginho, and it..s owned by Damián Gularte, who..s Jorginho..s son. Jorginho..s style it..s a mixture of funk, candombe, rap, hip hop, reggae, samba, bossa nova, rock, jazz and fusión. He has been one of the best songwriters of the 80..s and was one of the fundamentals of the afro culture in Uruguay. Saddly his carrer was abruptly stopped in May of 2002, when he was invited to a party and was beaten by the bodygards of that place. The results are neurological damage, so he..s no longer able to make music anymore. Here..s his deserved tribute, i hope you like his music. Discography: "La Tambora"(1984,sello Sondor), "Influencia" (1987,sello Sondor),"AlmaZen"(1989,sello Orfeo,actual EMI),"Fata Morgana" (1996,sello Tambora Records),"Regularte"(2003,sello Tambora Records). The Regularte album has been produced by Damián Gularte and Gustavo "Mamut" Muñoz, and was an album of many uruguayan singers and musicians playing Jorginho..s songs. The musicians where: Hugo Fattoruso, Jorge Drexler, Malena Muyala, Fernando Cabrera, Los Terapeutas, No Te Va Gustar, Heber Píriz, Fernando Torrado, Jorge Shellemberg, and Damián Gularte. ____________________________________________________________ __EN ESPAÑOL:Este space está administrado por Damián Gularte, hijo de Jorginho, y tiene como proposito difundir la musica de este talentoso compositor. El proyecto "Regularte" es un homenaje en el cual participan grandes artistas de la musica nacional, como Hugo Fattoruso, Jorge Drexler, Malena Muyala, Fernando Cabrera, Los Terapeutas, No Te Va Gustar, Heber Píriz, Fernando Torrado, Jorge Shellemberg, y Damián Gularte. Jorginho a tocado y grabado con diversos musicos del medio, como Eduardo Mateo, Gustavo "Mamut" Muñoz, Osvaldo Fattoruso, Walter "Nego" Haedo, Heber Píriz, Nelson Cedréz, Leo Anselmi, Urbano Moraes, Leonardo "Bolsa" Amuedo....... Su estilo de musica abarca el candombe, el tango, funk, rap, hip hop, reggae, samba, bossa nova, rock, jazz y fusión. A sido uno de los mejores compositores de la decada del 80, y uno de los representantes más fundamentales de la cultura afro en el Uruguay. Lamentablemente su carrera se vió interrumpida el 6 de Mayo del 2002, debido a una golpiza brutal que recibió en W Lounge, una discoteca de Montevideo. Los daños que tal golpiza le ocasionaron son irreversibles. Aquí va su merecido homenaje, conozcan a este cantautor.
