| Triple threat 13 year old, Helene, is no stranger to the stage. Helene began her career as a singer, dancer, and actress in the small town of Galloway Township, N. J. At the age of 2, she began singing, singing in her car seat to all the Disney movies, and especially to one of her favorite singers, Celine Dion. Her path was just beginning. In 2004, she entered the first of many local talent competitions in the Atlantic City, NJ area. She was the Grand Prize winner of the 2004 Ocean City Talent Show, competing against singers in their 30’s at the tender age of 9.
That same year, Helene also won a statewide talent show held every year by NJ radio station 101.5 called “The Big Joe Henry Talent Search”. People from all over the state including New York and Philadelphia enter this contest, and she was the Grand Prize winner in the age category 5-15 . All 6 judges were from New York City and stated that they knew they’d see Helene on Broadway someday, destined to be a superstar! Helene also performed a stirring version of the National Anthem for the Atlantic City Surf Baseball Team, The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies Hockey Team, The Smithville New Jersey annual Fourth Of July Parade, the largest parade in South Jersey celebrating our countries Independence Day, and continues to sing the anthem at numerous sporting and charity events across the United States, with a long list of anthem dates already booked for major sporting events in the Los Angeles area, for the rest of 2008. Helene started taking dance when she was 3 years old, and credits her teacher Ms. Victoria Clark, a former professional ballerina who is now the Director of The Ventnor Cultural Art Center in Ventnor, NJ with providing her with a nurturing environment that gave her the love of dance & music! She does ballet, jazz, and hip-hop, naming hip-hop as her favorite. Plus loves to make and perform her own choreography! Helene also believes in giving back to her community, so she actively participates in the “Arts For Healing Program” at the Atlanticare Regional Medical Center, as well as having performed for numerous local charity events including “Kids For Katrina,” The Annual Diabetes Telethon, and events for the MAPS Foundation, an organization that funds research for Multiple Sclerosis, Alzheimers, and Parkinsons Syndrome. Most recently, Helene has teamed up with and is currently working with 4 Time 1, Billboard Award Winning, Hit Songwriter/Producer Eddie Galan of Mach 1 Music. The Mach 1 Music team has been phenomenal in its ability to develop Helene and help take her and her career to the next level. In addition to Eddie G., Mach 1 Music's Mike "The Professor" Leslie, Steven "Stizzle" Schneider, Dale Goode and Osei "Pensmith" Jenkins have lended their super talented hands on Helene's album, as well as Mach 1's new group, SKYLINE. With this new team behind her music, Helene knows she will reach the top! |
