| Theatrical Artist, 'Michael Kolar', created this color pencil rendering depicting, 'a tale of horror and witchcraft', in the tradition of the theater, 'Du Grand Guignol', (The Gron - Geen - Yole). This remarkable tale or horror and witchcraft features the 'mystery' of the failed 'hoax' of religious piety and its supposed 'divine authority' - During the witch trials or the 'witchcraze' of - Europe, in the late 1500's. The folklore of the theater, 'Du Grand Guignol', as a form of entertainment is a theater of horror, terror, and gore. That addicted Parisian theater goers for countless generations, it became the progenitor of all of the 'splatter' movies of today, i.e., Halloween ; Friday The 13th ; A Nightmare On Elm Street ; Scream ; Prom Night and Hellraiser ! The 'Grand Guignol', has theatrically influenced 'shock - rock - masters of the past, such as ; W.A.S.P. , KISS & Alice Cooper. Which have left an 'indelible' mark on, Artist 'Michael Kolar'. So much so that he 'immortalized' this Parisian shock theater in this piece entitled ; "KOLAR'S HORROR ROCK ~ PRESENTS ; THE GRANDE GUIGNOL" copyright 2002.

SPECIAL NOTE : [ Artist Comment ] - The process of this piece of work was the result of very extensive research and study, which became necessary to implement for this reason, that I might have some form of instrumentality - to ceaselessly impart knowledge and understanding, particularly too my wife in preparation for her perception of "Eschatology & Symbolism", i.e., The Book of Revelation. And its symbolic description of 'The Blasphemous Whore', e.g., 'The Beast', 'The Antichrist', and 'The False Prophet'. Which, when looked at from the correct 'Eschatological' perspective, we find the true 'Image' of the writings of ' John The Revelator' and they 'Unequivocally', typify - 'The False Prophet : Joseph Smith ; The Book of Mormon ; The Mormon Temple' and all of its teachings in its generational descent from, 'The Many False Prophets' within 'The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints' ( The Mormon Church ). Since the time of Joseph Smith, i.e., 'The Beast Whose Deadly Wound Was Healed'. ( see, The Book of Revelation ). Title: "The Devil's Triangle" which is another symbolic illustration. This piece is a logo design with Cantonese lettering. For my own form of martial art called, Kinjiru - Scorpion Freestyle Fighting Method. ( Media : Black Marker ) This is a portrait of the greatest actor, stuntman, and make-up artist of all time 'Lon Chaney' (done in acrylic). Fine art illustration - mixed media - marker, acrylic, and digitally enhanced depiction of Laveyian centered 'Female Wiles', i.e., ( Witch - Craft ). Entitled: "Betrayer" Mixed Media Illustration depicting a female symbol of death. Title of piece: "Lillith" A Tribal Piece with a "Jackson Pollock" influenced abstract background which is hand-painted with acrylic and enamel paint pens. Another abstract 'Pollock' influenced, and hand-painted original. The theme of this piece, is a symbolic representation of the 'Cartesian Circle' of 'Decartes' ~ (methodical doubt) A touch of realism is the illustration here. A rather soft portrait of a tiger. (Again painted in acrylic and enamel).Inspired from a baroque era sculpture. Done in white colored-pencil on black paper. Title of piece: "The Madonna's Dawn of Meggido". |
