THE SWIPES, founded in 2007, produce a thrilling sound which is quite unique. The strongest roots of their catchy and psyched out music lie deep in the Swingin’ Sixties and in the work of 70's punk protagonists like The Clash or The Ramones, but their playing techniques are pretty up-to-date. As a result, the German four-piece has developed a never heard style of haunting punk- and powerpop, spiced with sparkling garage energy and a lusty dose of ska and reggae.
