As a native of too many ghettos to name from Trenton, New Jersey to Central Kentucky Kimba’s early beginnings provided a candid experience with dysfunction and hopelessness in America. Riddled with various challenging family issues, street life, and misguidance, moments of despair were constant in his life. Stories that headline front pages and newsreels were common to his upbringing. However in the midst of the chaos and confusion, he found several things that drastically changed his life, two of which were church and music. At age fifteen he began to take a more serious attitude toward music and it’s ability to empower. He began to listen more intently to music, read more, write and perform his own material. Over the years to follow, his appetite for harnessing this new expression grew, and took on new forms such as poetry, singing, djing, workshops, speaking opportunities, performing, producing, coordinating events, and hosting. So what you hear on his show is a result of his love for music and his passion for people. His goal is Inspiration, Communication, Love, and Edutainment. |
