About Me |
|
Flymo Folk purveyor Adam Leonard was discovered in the Manchester Ship Canal by an Eskimo, aged 25. He enjoys Columbo and likes to play the mandolin at parties looking not unlike John Peel miming Maggie May. His non award-winning album 'How Music Sounds' was released by Real Wood in 2003, and followed up with the internationally ignored 'How Real Is Real?' mini-album and 'The Message Tapes' EP in 2004.
- Everett True, Plan B Magazine "Syd Barrett meets The Fall ... Ominous folk" - Piccadilly Records "There are all sorts of contradictions on this CD, but every track has a particular kind of magic ... totally compelling material" - Manchestermusic.co.uk UK - £9 including postage and packing. ________________________________ Ireland/Europe - £10 including postage and packing. ________________________________ US/Rest of world - £11 including postage and packing. ________________________________ For non-Paypal orders or other enquiries email orders AT edensengine DOT co DOT uk |

Everett True, Plan B Magazine "The Message Tapes are played out on an acoustic guitar, but with Leonard’s slightly distant vocal. Containing an off the wall sample and his dry, infectious picks, this is just totally compelling material. A very clever and intriguing collection". "Music For A Slow Motion Film sees Adam sitting on a rock on the sea shore playing a mandolin while the wind whips his gravelled voice into a swirling echo". PLAYLOUDER "A Drakeish air and an English drift". fROOTS Magazine"Leonard can't resist throwing something in every now and again to keep you on your guard... it all works brilliantly". manchestermusic.co.uk"Adam Leonard claims to have been found in the Manchester Ship Canal by an eskimo when he was 25. I can only assume that someone must have mistaken his music for the wailing of a couple of alley cats and tried to drown him by tying him in a bag and throwing him in. Full marks for the nice packaging though".
