Within a year Stormental rose from out of nowhere and became a plesant heavy metal revelation from Brazil. Instituted in January of 2006, the quartet compromises Alexei Leão (vocals), Andrei Leão (bass), Rafael Scopel (guitars) and Marcos Feminella (drums). The band is currently finishing their first DVD “Mental Live Storm” and preparing their second studio full-length. Conquering achievements not commonly seen in Brazil, Stormental rages on. Compositions blend the finest energy of heavy metal, the complexity of progressive rock and the speed of power metal. Defined as “Raw Prog-Metal”, the label was well received by the public – in Brazil and abroad. The baptism of fire was the first European Tour, when the band released their debut “Stormental” in the Old World. From august to september of 2006, Stormental performed in Germany, Belgium, Holland, Spain, Poland, Czech Republic and was at the main stage with Gamma Ray, Primal Fear and Marduk at the “More Than Fest” in Slovakia. With a pioneering attitude, Stormental made their self-titled debut album available for free download at their official website. In such a way, when Stormental toured Brazil after the release of the CD in their country (December of 2006), the public already knew all the eight songs from the album, which had its first copies sold quickly. Being the debut album acclaimed by both public and the media, Stormental released in May 2007 the EP “Unleashing The Madness”. Keeping the daring attitude, the next step was the ambitious production of a live DVD. A sold out night was recorded in an one-hundred years old theater, located at the heart of Stormental’s hometown, in June of 2007. Nearly half thousand people saw a historical concert, produced in its whole by the band itself. Entitled “Mental Live Storm” and due on March of 2008, the DVD includes the complete concert, the official videoclips and the documentary “European Tour 2006” as bonus material. For this year, Stormental plans a new European tour and the release of their second studio album, which will be produced together with Siedler Dance Company. This studio work will also contain a special DVD with a live performance of Siedler’s opus “Perception of the Other”, created by the dance company in collaboration with Stormental. Fear to dare? Never... ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------ Em pouco mais de um ano, o Stormental - quarteto de Florianópolis/SC formado em janeiro de 2006 e que conta com Alexei Leão (vocal), Andrei Leão (baixo), Rafael Scopel (guitarra) e Marcos Feminella (bateria) - saiu do anonimato e se tornou uma grata revelação do Metal brasileiro. O grupo, que atualmente prepara-se para lançar seu primeiro DVD, "Mental Live Storm", e o segundo álbum de estúdio, vem contabilizando conquistas poucas vezes vista no cenário do Metal no Brasil. Com composições que mesclam o peso Heavy Metal, a parte intrincada do Rock Progressivo e a velocidade do Power Metal, surgiu o "Raw Prog-Metal", nomenclatura caiu no gosto dos fãs, tanto no Brasil como no exterior. O batismo de fogo ocorreu na turnê européia, realizada entre agosto até setembro de 2006, marcando o lançamento do álbum “Stormental” no exterior. O Stormental fez shows na Alemanha, Bélgica, Holanda, Espanha, Polônia, República Tcheca e foi uma das atrações do "More Than Fest" na Eslováquia, ao lado do Gamma Ray, Primal Fear e Marduk. Com uma atitude pioneira, o Stormental disponibilizou seu 'debut' gratuitamente em seu site oficial. Desta forma, quando voltaram para a estrada após o lançamento oficial no Brasil, ocorrido em dezembro de 2006, grande parte do público já conhecia as oito faixas do CD, que teve sua versão limitada esgotada rapidamente. Com a boa aceitação de público e mídia, o grupo lançou em maio de 2007 um EP com cinco faixas, intitulado "Unleashing The Madness", trazendo duas inéditas e três versões diferentes de músicas gravadas anteriormente. Entretanto, mantendo a mesma atitude ousada veio o ambicioso projeto da gravação do primeiro DVD, ocorrido em junho em um centenário teatro, construído em 1857 e localizado no coração de Florianópolis. Aproximadamente quatrocentos fãs tiveram a oportunidade de presenciar uma performance histórica, que contou com organização e produção da própria banda, que agora planeja lançar o DVD "Mental Live Storm". O material incluirá o show completo, além de videoclipes e o documentário "European Tour 2006" como bônus. Ainda para 2008 os planos do Stormental incluem uma nova turnê européia e o lançamento do segundo álbum de estúdio, que será feito em parceria com a Siedler Cia de Dança. Este segundo trabalho também trará um DVD especial, contendo a apresentação da obra "Percepção do Outro", criada pela Siedler Cia de Dança em conjunto com o Stormental. Medo de ousar? Jamais... |
