The Avatar (a.k.a Kuzin Avi) is an emerging contender for the crown in the ever growing Australian Hip Hop world. Fresh beats, gritty lyrics, and masterful flow, The Avatar brings a unique sound to the blend, and has the experience and knowledge to back it up.
Representing Brisbane city, Queensland, Kuzin Avi has been writing, producing, recording, and performing Hip Hop since the age of 15. As well as being signed to two labels since then, releasing a highly acclaimed “Flamethrower” EP, and appearing on two major Australian compilation releases, The Avatar has collaborated with international Hip Hop legends such as Sadat X, Craig G, Nut-Rageous, Timtation, Silent Majority, and DJ Irie.
New York's infamous DJ TooTuff once christened Avi "Australia's Gangsta Lord", Compton's URC described him as an "Aussie Slick Rick", and Poor Pocket claimed him as an up and comer to watch with great interest.
Currently in the lab putting together his first independent LP release, which will include long time Avatar favourites such as ‘Australian Gangsta’, ‘Last Day On Earth…’, and ‘Backwards’, as well as brand new exclusives featuring Kryptamistik, Donuts, Skinz, and DJ Irie.
Keep your eyes peeled for Jersey Life's new U.S mixtape release "Stacks on deck we got next", featuring a track by Kuzin Avi.
