About Me |
| Some of you may know me as ArielPlath from the MetalSludge message boards. I'm the rocker chick who refuses to grow old!Well I finally made it back home to Florida - loving life again - enjoying the sunshine. Took quite an ordeal to get back here but we did it. Jacksonville is beautiful - wonderful city with a lot to offer, we are never bored. There is something to be said about the south for sure - its a different way of life. As I've often said, once you know a different way of life you can not settle for less again - quality of life is of the utmost importance and the older I get the more important it becomes. With a few detours along the way, I am finally home - safe & sound along with my husband, dogs & birds. | |
My Interests |
| Reading books, though I haven't had much time lately to do that. Snuggling with my dogs & taking care of my birds. I also love to walk. Walking on the beach is awesome - especially in the morning when the sun is coming up. Hoping to get back to rollerblading now that I'm back in Florida again. | |
I'd like to meet:Gene Simmons - I think the man is brilliant! |
Music:Metal! Seriously, I like just about all music (except rap). Two of my favorite groups are Black Sabbath and Gin Blossoms. I have very eclectic tastes in music - from heavy metal & death metal to Kelly Clarkson - that chick can sing! Oh, and you can't forget my #1 favorite band Premonition - WE ARE METAL!!!!! |
Movies:Weird & off beat movies - -Barfly, Requieum for a Dream, Pulp Fiction, Blue Velvet, Crash, Freeway........you get the idea - if its strange - I like it! |
Television:I don't like television so much, but if I do watch its usually one of those news type shows like Dateline, 60min, 20/20, America's Most Wanted. I also like the crime tv shows - those are facinating. |
Books:Anything by Charles Bukowski! My other fav writers are Carl Hiaasen, Vicki Hendricks, Sylvia Plath, and older books by Stephen King - yeah, I like the noir type writers. And, can't forget Laurie Notaro - "The Idiot Girls Action Adventure Club" - to all those Idiot Girls out there - WE ROCK!!! I also like to read anything on rock & roll biographies or life styles - my favorite one is "Faithfull" by Marianne Faithful. I dig true crime books too - the scarrier the better. My taste in books is as eclectic as my taste in music. |
