Introduction

The Music House Recording Studio provides a wide range of facilities for bands or solo artists alike allowing you to realise your vision and potential. We offer recording, editing and production for any genre of music using the industry's leading software Pro Tools. Musical arrangement and orchestration is also available to really enhance the final production.

The Music House Team

At our studio you will be in the hands of fully qualified professionals:

Guy Sweenie (BSc Hons, MSc) and Jay Thurlow are the recording and production engineers.

Guy Sweenie has a Masters Degree in music technology and is also a lecturer in the subject; he has completed advanced Pro Tools training with Digidesign UK.

Jay Thurlow is in his final year studying for a degree in music technology and works for EMI Records London as a music and brands consultant, he has invaluable experience of working at Abbey Road Studios London (of the Beatles fame) with the industries leading professionals in recording, production and mastering sessions.

Fred Sweenie is a professional percussionist, arranger, songwriter and lyricist. With his vast musical experience from the CBSO, SSO, RAF Central Band and touring with Rick Wakeman, he can assist in developing your music from any starting point.

Equipment

At The Music House we apply focus on using the industry's latest technologies including a digital control surface, Genelec monitoring and software such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Waves Plug-ins, Melodyne and the Wavelab mastering suite. We also have a range of high quality microphones to suit all types of recording situations including an AKG Solidtube (ideal for vocal recordings), SE Electronics SE1A pair, AKG C1000s and a Sennheiser Evolution drum-kit set.

We have a variety of musical instruments including a Yamaha Oak Custom drum-kit, Yamaha digital piano and numerous percussion rarities such as gongs, Chinese temple blocks and a mandible.
