.."http://s45.photobucket.com/albums/f72/demobpunk/Flyers%20 logos%20and%20stuff/?action=view¤t=donnypunx2008.j pg" target="_blank" 1978 was a long ago when Gloucester spawned it’s first punk rock band DEMOB, 2 x 7" singles Anti-Police and No Room For You, a couple of compilations on the Captain Oi! lable along with the Punk & Disorderly compilation which spread the name of the band world-wide, tours with the Angelic Upstarts and Discharge and things looked very promising indeed, but band politics and musical differences soon put paid to what might of been In 2002 Grand Theft Audio, USA contacted the band requesting permission to release old recordings and to arrange some gigs, the band was put back together for what was to be a brief revisit but further tours of europe, USA and a trip to Japan not forgetting a host of UK gigs. Line-up changes have since occured and now built on the foundation in the true punk rock spirit Demob are about to launch into 2008 with some suprises that will show that "Once Punk All Ways Punk" is not just a throw away slogan that you pick up if it suits your daily fancy, it’s something that you are and proud to be daily Now nearly 30 years on Demob have for the last 6 years got to a place where the show will go on, new songs, tours to perform, new friends to be made, plenty more parties to attend , see ya down the front at a gig near you soon "ONCE PUNK ALWAYS PUNK" MORE INFO TO COME |
