Armstrong Jr. Live Performance Armstrong Jr. Opening for Deborah CoxAdd to My Profile | More Videos Biography In the midst of a Musical Revolution, Armstrong Jr. set up camp on the front lines of of the underground music scene of Vancouver. Unlike his contemporaries, his weapon of choice... POP. Armstrong Jr. takes his uniquely harmonic vocal arrangements with his highly electronic production style and finds a way to create -- from the digital -- a sound that could not be described as anything other than organic. Having released his debut CD "Come Show Your Face" to rave reviews Armstrong Jr. is currently in the final stages of production on his self-titled sophomore album set for release in early 2008. His latest project is definitively more grown up that his previous work lending itself to a more musically diverse spectrum of sounds. A Jr. has chosen to draw on the influences of Blues, Classical and choral Music for this compilation and tie it all together with his unique brand of electronic Armstrong Jr. production. When stepping out from behind the mixing board and taking to the stage, A Jr. Finds himself in his element in front of his audiences.
Almost 2 years have past since the release of "Come Show Your Face" and in that time jr. has been privileged to work with the likes of Jerome Mandrake in co-writing and producing his debut CD entitled "Affirmation" . A Jr. says, "it was loads of fun and a great learning experience working with Jerome. I got the chance to step outside of my role as performer and be completely focused on the production side of a project." Having completed his work on his collaborative projects A Jr.'s focus on his solo work is stronger than ever. With the exposure he's gained from being an Xtra West cover story to opening up for Crystal Waters, Ajr. continues to gain attention from all the right people as he is now officially set to perform as an opening act for Deborah Cox with stage pal Jerome Mandrake. Armstrong Jr. continues to keep his eyes firmly set on the future of what is proving to be a promising career as recording artist. "I love to make music and I love to perform, so with every small accomplishment I always get something back. There's no wonder why I keep doing this. And with rewards around every corner, I wouldn't be surprised if I do this for the rest of my life." Armstrong Jr. © 2007
