| Well, first off let me start by saying to all who have shown me nothing
but love and support over the years........thank you so much. The biz
that I, and many of you are in, is a tough, unstable and ruthless one and
without love, support, drive and hustle, you'll never make it.
I've been lucky enough over the years to consistently work.........and
I'm hella thankful 4 that. I came to LA, in the summer of 94' from
Philly, on the greyhound bus with my mom, just to see what could
happen and I wound up booking "The Parent'hood", my first tv
show within a month of being here, and I haven't left since. So
hopefully it's safe to say, I'm on the right path. I've have been so
blessed in this business, being able to do multiple TV shows such as
the "Parent'hood". Although I have done multiple TV shows, I have also been lucky
enough to be a part of numerous films, playing different roles in all
of them. As an actress I've really been able to show a little bit of
my range........and hopefully that will continue. You can check me out
in "Love Don't Cost A Thing", "Never Die Alone",
"Beauty Shop" among others........as well as the underground
classics, "Trois 3 The Escort", with Isaiah Washington (and
it's pronounced Trwaah people, not Trossssss, as in Menage a Trois,
as well as "Doing Hard Time", with Boris Kodjoe. Don't trip
even though these are independent films, I know ya'll have seen em'
and I'm proud of my work in both of them. But I have to say the
biggest accomplishment, or I should say blessing in my life has to be
my family. Starting off with my husband. Ladies if you find a man who
is worthy of you (cause let's be honest, not all of them are) Hold on
to him! Mom I love you!!!!!!!! Brother I am so happy your back in Cali....and
Cheeka is the light of my life. I have an amazing sister in law, Ki
youre my sister 4 life! DeJuan, luv you bro! And I have to say I
have the best nieces and nephew in the world. And to all you sick,
perverted grown ass women out there stay away from my nephew cause
yes, he is fine. Okay, now for all of my sista's out there trying 2
make it. Especially my sista's of color. Become business women.
Whatever your dream or goal is, make plans 2 own your own shit!!!!!
Write your own movies, you like clothes, start your own clothing line,
what ever it is. We as women of color have to start owning and
controlling our own shit!!!! Don't sit around and wait 4 that break,
or that perfect part......or whatever, cause you'll be waiting 4 eva!
