Carmellita's mantra is "Be creative. Be Success. Be happiness. And let the Creative Spirit move you." She is the Founder of Blue Lotus Living, LLC and a Personal Development Community and Holistic Lifestyle Education Company which provide education and inspiration for enlightenment, spiritual development, true self development, optimal health, wealth, success, and abundance.

Carmellita's life is a testament to her work. As a survivor of Hurricane Katrina, she has rebuilt her life with the principles she's been teaching since 2003. "I consider that unnatural disaster my ring of fire. However, what is real and what is true in my life is who I am and who I am always becoming. The storm didn't take away from my work or my life; infact, it made me something like a Blue Lotus, I rose up and began to live my life in full bloom. I am fearless now. If I survived being trapped for 6 days and having to rebuild my life, I can survive anything. I'm still here. I'm still standing. But best of all, I'm flourishing and thriving, not just surviving."

She and her best friend and business partner Roslyn Randle have set to launch Blue Lotus Living at http://www.bluelotusliving.com, a company they have nurtured for nearly 6 years. On being a visionary, Carmellita says, "I remember when a spiritual advisor told me I was a "visionary." I thought the mere mention of it made me sound arrogant and a little diva-ish. However, as I have matured spiritually, I understand that we all have the power to become visionaries. Personally, as an performance artist, writer, and public speaker, I deal with the abstract everyday. In order to bring that which is abstract to a concrete reality that can be felt and touched, I must first be able to "see it." And this is what a visionary is, simply a co-creator with vision."
