| Quacked.com , check out these Myspace Layouts! .. ! ... __Born in the Philippines but raised in Adelaide, South Australia. Malo was raised into the world of performing arts. Growing up with musicians, singers and dancers it was obvious in which direction Malo would turn to.Being nursed with the sounds of Michael Jackson; Mariah Carey, Marvin Gaye, BoyzIIMen, Soul for Real, Kieth Sweat, Whitney Houston, Brian McKnight, 112, 2Pac and Snoop Doggy Dogg... Just to name a few. These influences have helped mold the artist that is Malo.Starting out as a backup dancer for female vocalist group SHEEQ, Malo fell in love with the stage and the wonders of performance. So from there he decided to establish his own grounds and got together a 3 piece male vocal group. Although short lived, he took the experience and grew as an artist. After vocal coaching with the best, Peter Noble, he took on a solo career. Polishing his vocal technique and honing his own style of dance, Malo competed in competitions for both singing and dancing. Dominating the stage, Malo met a worthy talent to which he joined forces with to create a new three piece male group known as 'the XKLUSIV'. The group blended like the perfect harmony. Writing songs, recording, producing and choreographing their own material, the group was ready to show off what they so passionately worked for. The first competition and gig 'the XKLUSIV' did, they won, and it all went uphill form there. Performing all around Adelaide, the group were making a name for themselves. Finishing there debut demo album titled "Better Days" in 2005, the group got a respectable response.Though the group worked well, Malo took the risk and moved to Melbourne to pursue a new life and to find out what he was really made of. Being put on the spot and not really knowing where he was heading, Malo found a new love. The passion for food! Since locating to Melbourne, Malo has been working as a chef and winning culinary competitions in both his years in the industry. Although successful in his new field, there was the inkling for music that drove the artist in Malo to revisit his past. Still surrounded by the music industry, Malo was fortunate to meet Dan Deltondo. The head of SMACK entertainment. When Malo approached Dan about doing music again, Dan immediately jumped on board and became his manager. Within days Malo started getting gigs left, right and center.Since joining the SMACK ent. family, Malo became in good company with SMACK's other artist such as Australia's 2 top selling R&B artist Selwyn and Christian Alexander. With these credits along side him, Malo is set to start a new era. Fusing the worlds of R&B, Electro 80's, Hip-Hop, Pop and an Old School vibe, its gonna be a different flavour for the ears.Look out for the mix-tape due beginning 2009. |
