About Me |
|
| Diego Alonso (Diego-Alonso Audette-Aste) began playing rock guitar at age 17 and flamenco guitar at age 21. Predominantly self-taught, Diego also studied flamenco intensively with Fernando Moreno, José Luis Balao, Manuel Lozano "El Carbonero" (Jere de la Frontera), and with José "Pansequito Hijo" Cortés (Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz). He also began studying jazz theory with David Bloom in 2007 (Bloom School of Jazz, Chicago) and continues to further his music education whenever possible. In 2000, Diego began performing as a regular guest with the Chicago-based group, "Las Guitarras de España" and has since shared the stage with a variety of accomplished musicians and companies including Alfonso Cid, Vicente Griego, Darwin Noguera, Victor Garcia, and many others. In 2007 Diego performed with the Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theater in Warsaw, Poland along side Chiara Mangiameli and José "Panzekito" Cortés and in 2008 he was invited to perfom one of his compositions with the Fulcrum Point New Music Orchestra for their "Passport to World Music" educational concert at Chicago's Harris Theater. Currently, he is the guitarist for flamenco group "Idilio" (Chiara Mangiameli y Kassandra Kocoshis) which released it's first CD in 2009. View Complete C.V.
