HDFEST DIGITAL FILM FESTIVAL

Since 2000, HDFEST has been online providing entertainment to audiences. You might know us from our HD film festivals which have toured around the world spreading THE GOOD NEWS of High-Definition, my brother.

Also HDFEST has hundreds of movie reviews and articles on the website- including reviews of HD movies, indie movies and even mainstream film. Also HDFEST showcases groundbreaking visual art and streaming/ downloadable video.

SUBMIT WORKS TO THE FESTIVALThere are quite a few ways to participate with HDFEST. If you are a filmmaker you can submit a HD or HDV film to our annual digital film festival. However, HDFEST 2008 is not accepting entries any longer, so you will have to wait until next year. If you are one of our friends, we will let you know as soon as our call for entries opens for the year.

Better yet, put us on your subscribers list or top friends and you will automatically be notified when we open up the call for entries.

If you are a filmmaker working in any medium you can also participate online with a video even if it isn't HD or HDV. There is some information on the website here about how to do this. Also visual artists can participate too online and promote their work. Again, visit the website www.hdfest.com for details.

HDFEST MUSICIAN & FILMMMAKER MEETING GROUNDS

HDFEST also has a matching service for filmmakers and bands. This is for:

1. Filmmakers looking for assistance finding indie music for their films (filmmaker do not need to have used HD to use this service, your film can originate in 35mm, DV, 16mm, Animation or virtually any other medium)

2. Bands and musicians who are looking to place their music in independent films.

*Our web designers create the page for you and signing up is extremely easy. It only takes a few minutes.

3. Filmmaker and Musicians, Bands and Composers who are interested in attending HDFEST Music Festival. This unique festival will be held October 18-20 along with HDFEST New York. A networking "shindig" will be held during the Music Festival to allow Filmmakers and Musicians to meet and discuss future work.

For more information and to sign up for HDFEST's filmmaker and musician matching, just visit HDFEST MUSIC

Did we mention to visit the website? Seriously you can waste a good deal of time there- you might be surprised how much time in fact.

MORE INFO ABOUT HDFEST LIVE EVENTS

In terms of live HDFEST events, here are a few quick facts that may of may not bore you- all festival content is created in High-Definition and all material is screened in HD resolution.

The festival also hosts panels and seminars on digital cinema and HD filmmaking. Each year HDFEST holds a touring event. HDFEST also gives out the HDFEST Deffie Awards in December which recognize achievement in HD filmmaking and HD animation.
