Denizen se forme en Juillet 2003 dans à la base comme un groupe de reprises plutôt Metal (Pantera, Metallica, Sepultura, ...). Après un premier concert en Aout '03, ils décident de commencer à composer des morceaux dans une veine plus Hardcore. Le deuxième guitariste, Sacha quitte rapidement Denizen et le groupe enregistre un premier EP "1" en Janvier '04 sorti chez Prototype Records. Suite à la sortie du disque, le groupe se sépare de Manu (batterie) et c'est Andréas (Illtemper, actuellement aussi dans Stuntman) qui le remplace. Avec lui Denizen confirme son inclinaison plus Hardcore/Noise influencé notamment par Botch, Converge, Coalesce, Helmet, ... En l'espace d'un an ils composent de quoi enregistrer un nouvel album "2 | Far From Common Strategy" (Prototype Records) qui sort en Janvier '07. A l'automne '07, Denizen partage un Split Tribute à Black Sabbath aux côtés de Stuntman et Illtemper sur lequel ils reprennent "Electric Funeral". En Janvier '08 ils participent à la compilation "Still Alive In Our Minds" co-produite par le fanzine Temples Of Noise et Prototype sur laquelle on retrouve vingt groupes français comme Tantrum, Goodbye Diana, Marvin, Basement, Ananda, Year Of No Light, Death To Pigs, ... Actuellement, Denizen compose un nouvel album et devrait commencer l'enregistrement au début de l'été '08. |
