Sono Marco Carpita ed ero a Roma l’ultima volta che mi è capitato di nascere. Mi rimane difficile parlare di me senza considerare la mia inseparabile estensione fisica, la chitarra, che tengo “addosso” fin dalla mia infanzia. Ma siamo in tanti, nel mondo, a suonarla più o meno bene, quindi eviterò di parlarvi del mio curriculum di musicista, dei miei concerti o descrivervi la mia tecnica e i chitarristi che mi hanno ispirato. Sarebbe come parlare di un granello di sabbia nel deserto. Vi dirò, invece, che sono un uomo entusiasta della vita, curioso e “scopritore”, con quel pizzico di follia che dà colore all’esistenza umana e che ti fa sentire senza tempo e senza limiti alla fantasia. Sono laureato in psicologia e filosofie orientali e queste inestimabili discipline permeano ogni momento del mio vivere quotidiano. Sono vegetariano perché amo gli animali e considero tutti gli esseri viventi degni di non meritare inutile violenza. Amo la Natura in tutti i suoi aspetti, la Wicca ed ogni forma di integrazione spirituale con il mondo, senza preclusioni. Pratico la meditazione, quella vera, quella via che ti conduce alla scoperta di quanto possa espandersi la nostra coscienza, fino al punto di abbattere la linea di confine tra ciò che vivi nel tuo interiore e ciò che credi sia al di fuori di te. La musica è quanto di più sublime possa esprimere il sentimento umano, una raccolta armonica dei suoni della Natura che coinvolge tutti i sensi nello stesso tempo ed è questo il mezzo espressivo che sento più mio e ve lo offro volentieri, facendo del mio meglio. Greetings to all! I’m Marco Carpita; the last time I was reborn, I happened to be in Rome, Italy. It’s difficult for me to talk about myself without talking about the inseparable extension of my body – my guitar, attached to me since birth. But since the world has evolved and we are now many that strum the guitar, I’ll avoid talking about my curriculum as a musician, my concerts, my technique and those legends that inspired my guitar playing. It would be like talking about a grain of sand in a never ending desert. Rather, I will tell you that I am a man fully enthused with life, curious, discovering, with that slight pinch of folly which colours human existence and makes one feel timeless and limitless in terms of creativity. I have a degree in psychology and oriental philosophy and these priceless disciplines permeate each and every moment of my daily existence. I am a vegetarian due to my deep love of animals and my profound belief that all living beings should not be subjected to unnecessary violence. I love all things in Nature, the Wicca and all form of spiritual integration with the world, with total unreserve. I practice meditation, the real form of meditation – that which leads you to the discovery of how much one can expand one’s consciousness, to the point where all barriers between one’s inner world and one’s exterior world are demolished. To me, music is the most sublime expression of human sentiment, a collection of Nature’s harmonious sounds that involve and celebrate our five senses simultaneously; music is my best form of expression and I offer it to you, willingly and happily, in the best way I know.
