About Me

SENDING ME MUSIC? Nice one! READ ON-

I listen to as much as I can on Myspace, and I will get in touch with the bands who I will play on the radio. The volume of demos and online tracks I get sent means I can't reply to everyone with comments on the music I'm afraid. The adress to send your CD's to me is... ..

Huw Stephens, Radio 1, London, W1N 4DJ

or EMAIL YOUR MP3's to huw.stephens@bbc.co.uk

I play new, unsigned, emerging and DIY labels on BBC Radio 1; Wednesday nights (Thursday mornings strictly speaking) 12am -2am it's BBC Introducing in England. There's a new session every week, and a DIY Label of the week too, celebrating the best in independent music.

I also present IN NEW MUSIC WE TRUST - The best of BBC Introducing every Wednesday night at 9pm on Radio 1, bringing together the best new music from across the UK.

My monthly Huw Stephens Introducing....at the Social happens on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at the Heavenly Social on Little Portland St in London. Check my calendar, below, for forthcoming dates. I also programme the Lake stage at Latitude, compere the main stage at Reading, and host the Introducing stage at festivals. My own festival, Swn Festival, happens across Cardiff venues in November (see top friends below!).

I present a show on C2 on BBC Radio Cymru on Monday and Tuesday at 10pm, concentrating on the thriving Welsh language music scene, and the best new music from across the world...

I write, and run a label called Am, and am very happy to be here.

I should point out here that the views expressed on these pages are my own personal ones, and not those of the BBC. Apart from comments left here, which aren't the views of mine or the BBC's, but the views of whoever left those comments. Obviously.
