Born and raised here in Seattle, I can be both the city girl and the outdoors girl. Currently attending the University of Washington (go Huskies!!!), majoring in Political Science and Economics. Continuing my education into Law School, I hope to pursue a PhD in Asian & Comparative Law. After being crowned Miss Vietnam Southern California 2006 & Miss Vietnam Global, I realized that the opportunity had arrived to shed light on a cause I hold very dear to my heart: medical & humanitarian aide to the poorer villages in Vietnam. I will be collaborating with a few of my closest girlfriends (models & pageant titleholders) to establish an organization in the near future to promote this cause. I am 100% Hue and 100% in love with anything Hue. The food, the history, the strict traditions, the music, the art, scenery & landscape, and of course... my accent. I want to venture out, challenge myself, and succeed. The only thing that could prevent me is fear... I fear failure... It hurts. Sometimes I just want to be swept up and held... Sheltered. Sheltered from the gossip, the rumors, the crticisms, the jealousy. My mommy taught me that that's the reality of life. Oh well. Nothing to do but to disregard negativity and embrace encouragement. As long as each night I can drift off to sleep peacefully knowing that I did not intentionally hurt anyone... Ultimately, one must live with one's conscience, right? I have a pure heart and that's all that matters. I'm honest to my love, obedient to my family, and loyal to my friends. |
