Highwire Daze CD Review Based out of the fledging Denver, CO music scene, Thanks To You has unleashed an EP that should gain them a following well beyond the Mile High City. Desperate For Attention should secure the band more than just a modest bit of notice. The band performs the metalcore and breakdowns, but their songs contain memorable choruses and super tight musicianship – not to mention a sense of unpredictability that should endear them to many a music enthusiast. After a brief chaotic introduction, Broadzilla delivers a sonic attack, demonstrating just how musical versatile Thanks To You are capable of becoming. Saving Minor is another thrashing highlight that should send pits slamming away when played live. Black Box presents a haunting, melodic side to the band that is exhilarating to hear. Although they are from the locale known for their blasting post hardcore scene, Thanks To You aspire to go beyond the genre, and appear to have the capability to do just that. With an EP as thoroughly promising as Desperate For Attention, it will be exciting to see what this talented quartet of musicians turn up with next. The Thanks To You lineup consists of Eric on guitar, Taylor on vocals, Ryan on drums, and Kyle on guitar.
