BIOGRAPHY At the beginning there was silence... That phrase may fit on everything but J.O.E.! From the first day on, all bandmembers nearly gave their lifes in order to start a musical revolution - "young, sexy and loud", that's what the band was called after first public appearances, where they made the hearts of lovely girls and boys beat faster. No matter if with XPQ-21, The Birthday Massacre or in front of 6000 people at Europes biggest city-festival Bochum Total - there arent many other bands without a record deal, who wrote such a successful history within just one year! Let's travel in time, kids: Leadsinger & stagedandy Dorian Deveraux meets guitargod Chai in a famous german underground club: The Lurie! After getting really wrecked'n'wasted with several bottles of Jagermeister & cheap vino rosso, both knew, they share the same dream: creating a industrial rock'n'roll band, far away from the same old rusty confessions - heavily distorted guitars meet synthesizers, sweet melodies full of melancholy & pain, meet (self)destructive beats, which go like a fist in the stomach! JESUS ON EXTASY was born!!! July 15th 2005: The Band enters the studio, the journey begins! Although facing some troubles regarding the line-up, the first EP is produced within few months, containing the bands smash-hit-singles Alone and Assassinate Me. It was a wild time: Dorian singin & shouting until his throat bleeds and breaking his ribs on stage with a microphone, Chai smashing guitars, mysterious white powder on the kitchen table and an army of empty Absynthe bottles all over the floor - Kaoss came & that was the last spice missing, to create a new vicious monster! March 2006, JESUS ON EXTASY gets upgraded: Ivy joins the band on the bass and - besides her extraordinary skills on her instrument - scored many times as sexiest bandmember (and there were MANY votings). Kenda joins as live drummer The line-up is complete, the band is ready for the big audiences! Speak your last prayer, cause Jesus is on extasy! |
