| We are Teatro East of the River, We are a grassroots theater company based in Boyle Heights/East Los Angeles who are currently writing two theatrical productions that analyze the traditional educational system as is experienced by students of color. We support Academia Semillas del Pueblo, because they represent alternative teaching methods and curriculum based on multilingualism and Indigenous teachings. This wholesome education is beneficial to students in that it includes their own ethnic histories, thus recognizing the importance of multi and interculturalism in students' lives.
