Her father left Iran due to the political problems and went to India. Her mother was a singer/actress in india. Nasim came to america from india with her family when she was 5 years old. She started to write music when she was 14 years old. She went from being a singer to rapping and now Nasim has a unique rap-singing style, she is almost in her own genre of music. Some say she reminds them of the old school with a mix of new school. Nasim's music is about herself, her essence, her life, and what is around her. If you like the music then thanks for the support, she appreciates it and will not forget it (plus she will always need it). If you don't like the music than thats cool, she can only be herself and do the best she can. She knows she can't please everyone.
