I'd like to meet:Ms. Josephine Nazareth Namakula, born in 1938, was orphaned at the age of 5 months & raised by nuns for 16 years. After she acquired her own home, Ms. Namakula turned the home into an orphanage in 1976, the Nazareth Children’s Home in Masaka, Uganda, and has devoted her life to the well-being and care of unwanted and discarded children.The Nazareth Children’s Home currently houses & provides for 23 children with little-to-no outside financial support. Ms. Namakula turns away no child, and this number continues to increase. Children are often brought to the home, found abandoned on the streets by their parents, or worse. After a few months in the United States, he died of complications of sickle cell anemia. Although he was only 20, over a thousand people traveled for hours to attend his funeral. Music:music...what an amazing Creation! i love songs of praise, songs of love, songs about life, songs of freedom, REDEMPTION SONGS! reggae is the most beautiful medicine for whatever ails you!!! roots is my heart but everything is cool, dub is the best when i'm working on a project. it helps me focus and puts me in a creative state of mind without many words to disrupt my train of thought.i recently had the humbling, uplifting gift and blessing of sitting in on a dubplate session and interview with alton ellis at his hotel while he was staying in hollywood, and a performance that night. it was one of the defining moments of my life! i got an autographed 7" of willow tree with my name on it!!! :P he is a true gentleman, legend and inspiration, and always puts his heart into every performance. i am so glad that his amazing family is carrying on the tradition of life music!ALTON ELLISPLEASE SAY A PRAYER FOR ALTON AND HIS FAMILY. Television:try not to watch too much. television lies to our children. it pollutes, drains, brainwashes, and deceives. no wonder they call it a boob tube. occasionally i can be caught at my sisters or a friend's house watching a random episode of survivor man, going tribal, l.a. or miami ink, iron chef, project runway, lost, dexter, heroes, and i could easily sit and watch animal planet, the history or discovery channel for like six hours straight, but i refrain. i love naruto, boondocks, afro samurai, and battle angel alita. |
