| One Big Lie is the true definition of a DIY band. Going on 7 years of hard work, OBL is still pressing hard in the punkrock scene, and are not stopping anytime soon! The roots of the band started with Dave and Josh in Junior High jamming in Daves garage, leading to a few small projects throughout High school. One Big Lie was officially formed in 1999, and released a self titled CD in 2001. Josh and Dave are the only 2 members remaining from the original lineup, and there have been many changes since, what a ride! In May of 2002 Larry joined the band, followed by Roll cage a year or so later, then 4 years later he fuct us over, but everything happens for a reason. Weve been featured on a few Compilation CDs, skate and moto videos here and there, and in 2007 we released our full length Blinded, 12 tracks of ass kicking! Now, in 2008 were pushing hard, writing a new CD to be in the studio by July 2008, and release by September. Were having more fun in the writing and production than we ever have before, and our music is reflecting it. Our style and writing is definitely evolving into an even more original sound, and is more powerful than ever before. Following in the footsteps of such bands as Rise Against, Pennywise, NOFX and many more bands we admire, were pushing hard to bring punkrock back to the frontlines! We don’t care about trying to be cool, or being something we’re not, and we don’t take any shit! So many out there talk the talk, but don’t walk the walk. We just want to play the music that we love, and reach to as many people as we can that feel the same about music. We hope to be in a town near you soon, so come show your love for punkrock, and come show your support for One Big Lie. Stay True! |
