| The core of the band formed in late 1995 when drummer Darren Markoff and vocalist Ray Truhn met at a Death show. Three months later guitarist Gary Hoyt answered an ad in a local music store and the band was born. Instantly the band began creating intense and crushing metal. Combining elements of both Death Metal and more Old School Metal with a touch of groove. In 1996 the band would record there first 5 song demo and called themselves Infamy. The band would go on to change there name due to a death metal band in LA with the same name and after a few hit and misses the band chose and stuck with Korotory. In 1997 the band decided to move more into a straight ahead metal style and created some of the most intense grooves and riffs yet. Over the next 3 years and with a ton of revolving bassists and second guitarists. The band would play more than 100 shows and share the stage with some of the most legendary bands in the genre including Death, Hammerfall, Nevermore, and Iced Earth. In 2001 the band would release there second disc Process of Elimination but burnt out from six long and trecherous years of hardwork, and the music scene both nationally and locally tending to all genres but Metal, Korotory went on hiatus. From 2002 - 2005 the members of Korotory would take part in other projects including Divine Burning Angels, Neverafter, Burnt, Slow Painful Dose, and Dust. But now they are back and ready to shake the Metal world again. With all of the pieces complete in 2006 Korotory reformed with the addition of bassist Ryan Belmont. Picking up where they left off the band began working on new material as well as re-writing some older songs and getting all the cobwebs off the classics. The boys quickly rebonded both musically and as brothers making this the most lethal, and stable line up ever. Korotory has started a campaign to wreak havoc on the masses creating chaos where ever they go. Intent on destroying any and all trends and putting to rest any doubts that metal was Dead. Well recording has begun and Day 1 ends with all 7 drums tracks completed. We are beyond excited with the sound of the drums. They sound HUGE!!!!!!!
