| FRANÇAIS Le tout commença par une idée lancée dans les airs de faire un band. Lancée dans les airs pour vrai, car aucun membre ne jouait de la musique encore. Lidée a été repris plus tard, cette fois-ci plus sérieusement. Bernard et David, deux amis de longues dates, avaient réellement décidé de se partir un band. Sebastien, par lodeur alléché, décide de se joindre à eux, et déniche non loin dun table de pool du cégep, Maxime, un ami qui jouait de la guitare en ermite depuis deux ans. Une cassette daudition plus tard, Maxime rencontre les trois autres gars dans la première pratique historique du 8 mars 2003, chez Bernard. Le groupe est formé.Le groupe élit domicile chez Maxime, et se cherche un nom. Tel un Star Académie, on brainstorm sur un nom, et on en élimine à mesure. Anecdote intéressante : Sébastien désirait avoir un nom qui ne soit pas trop violent et il est venu avec le plus chaotique de tous : Eternal Mayhem.Eternal Mayhem savère être une machine de création avec comme seule borne : la mémoire de ses membres !!!En décembre 2005, Eternal Mayhem achève l'enregistrement de son tout premier disque : Enter the Mayhem qui comporte 10 chansons qui valsent entre lalternatif, le métal et le punk rock.Les membres poursuivent actuellement leur travail de composition. Le groupe a notamment fait une première musique pour le court-métrage "Des espoirs" au début de l'année 2008.ENGLISHAll of this began with this crazy idea of starting a band. Kind of crazy indeed because none of the members had played an instrument yet. The idea was later reconsidered more seriously. Bernard and David, two long time friends really decided to start a band. Sebastien, hearing that, joined them and found Maxime, a friend who had played guitar for 2 years in his living room, near a pool table at College. A tryout cassette later, Maxime joined the three other guys in the first ever band practice at Bernard's home, on March 8th, 2003. The band is formed.The group find its home at Maxime's house and is looking for a name. Like in American Idol, we brainstorm on a name and proceed by elimination. Interesting story : Sebastien wanted a name that did not sound too violent but finally came up with the most chaotic : Eternal Mayhem.Eternal Mayhem is a creation machine with only the band member's memory as a limit.In December 2005, the band finished the recording of their first album : Enter the Mayhem, who has 10 songs in a range of styles like alternative, metal and punk rock.The members are currently working on their composition work. The group has recently done their first soundtrack for the short movie "Des espoirs" at the beginning of 2008. | |
