| Dubblestandart is currently in the studio producing their forthcoming album " Return From Planet Dub", due to release early spring 2009.The new album will feature collaborations with Lee Perry, Ariup and director David Lynch. Additonal recordings already took place in Kingston/JA, Bronx/NY, Zürich/Switzerland last may. Dubblestandart will continue their studiowork after returning from their Canadian/Northwest US tour in July.
(This to be the 4th time for Dubblestandart to travel tourwise in North America.)A 12inch to be released later this year carrying remixes by Tom Watson from Paris/France. His edits on "Wadada" & "We All Have To Get High" (Immigration Dub 07) are taking our tracks into the deeper spheres of dubstep.Sounds from the Roof/Rooftop Promotions, our californian based pr- partners recently released a double CD sampler called Tempted Love featuring a remix of "Summerrain" from our 2006 album "Are You Experienced".The track is listed as Gudrun & Ivica featuring Gudrun from the former austrian pop band SheSays and New York producer Ivica who produced for Cafe Del Mare productions/Whitecliff Jean a.o. .This track/remix is the first in a series to enter new territory in the way of collaborating and expanding our music activities.More to come.We also did 2 remixes for New York based french electropop singer ElodieO that has been released on the japanese label Top Of The Iceberg including remixes by the Brazillian Girls producer a.o..ElodieO finished a successfull european spring tour and will be back on the continent for some shows end of July/Aug.
Her album "Stubborn" will be out digitally & in stores this July.(US/Canada release only!)Our label Echo Beach/Collision is preparing an anniversary sampler. A previously unreleased Dubblestandart track will be on it. Due to release in october.Enjoy a happy & beautiful summer 08Paul Zasky

-------------------------------------------------------- Its a long way from Kingston to Vienna. Not quite as far as Tokyo, though…, but what about London? The Central Station of modern dub sound! On-U Sound started here, Nick Manasseh emerged from Brixton … probably the third best place to find heavy bass sounds anywhere in the world – with the exception of Jamaica and the “Troublecompressor-Headquarter” in Vienna, Dubblestandart’s home and the best place for European bass guerrilla cuts driven by political awareness and spirituality. Straight from Vienna, the hometown of Mozart and Haydn, Dubblestandart started in the early 90s and chose dub music as their musical lodestar. Working as a backing band for Dillinger, Lee Perry, Topcat, Lilian Allen and recently Ari Up on her European and American tour, has finely honed their live skills.
