About Me |

Born in NYC, grew up in CT, and now live in LA. There's my geographical life in a nutshell, but I have traveled all over the world and other countries and cultures have deeply impacted my songwriting! I have grown up on music. It stems from listening to my mother sing me songs she wrote to help me go to sleep when I was little and from my father blasting Steely Dan throughout the house on Sunday mornings to wake me up. We were a musical family... insisting that everyone sing Christmas carols at our Holiday parties, so much so that we handed out lyrics for every song. My sister the theatre singer, me the closet singer/songwriter. I found myself in the music circles at school once I hit 14. On my 15th birthday, my father gave me the guitar that his father gave him when he was 13. A beautiful jumbo body Epiphone! I love writing songs, and normally I just let them come out, flow, and seldom change them after that. Once you get the eraser out, you might as well start writing a new song for your new frame of mind, don't you think? .. |
