Here's some quick things about me: I'm a grad student @ CSUN, getting my Master's in Chicana/o Studies. I strongly believe in getting involved with your community and fighting for a just cause. I am extremely proud of my culture and its contributions. I think cultures should not be repressed. We are all not the same and that's okay. Lets learn from each other. As a matter of fact, I say "celebrate diversity". As you've probably already noticed, I'm a photoshopping nut. I've gotten pretty good at it over the years. I suppose it just suits my creative nature. So if you've got an idea that you want to see come to fruition, perhaps I can weave my photoshop magic for you. I love doing FX Makeup. Who knows...maybe one day I'll make a career of it. As for now, it is something I love to explore. If anyone needs a makeup man for a movie project...I'm your guy! Music is my secret passion. I listen and play all types. I am a musician/writer. A favorite composer? Danny Elfman...think Edward Scissorhands. Here are some more things I'm involved in... Puro Pedo Media - With TJ Films, Jake and I have had our Chicana/o comedy videos shown at various MEChA conferences. Our first DVD featured "The Institute for the Frida Kahlo Obssessed" and "The MEChA Video Part I". We just finished our second DVD! We're always looking for people to become involved in acting or in production as well. We also broke ground on a new political satire magazine called Puro Pedo Magazine. It is absolutely free and absolutely hilarious while still addressing serious issues. Recently, TJ Films merged with Puro Pedo Magazine to form Puro Pedo Media. Seaside Haunt - Getting ready to enter our fifth year in 2008, Seaside Haunt has made a huge splash on the Haunted House scene! Located in Ventura at the Fairgrounds, we've been voted as one of the top Haunted House Attractions by Hollywood Gothique .. and has recieved several other awards and honors locally and statwide. Don't miss out on the scare of your life! Foresters - I volunteer with a not-for-profit organization called Foresters. Currently I am the Past President for the Ventura and Santa Barbara County Branch. We have over 3,000 members in this area alone! We do a lot of work in the community with an emphasis on children. On an international level, Foresters is the International Sponsor for the Children's Miracle Network and a partner with Prevent Child Abuse America.
