[(A)ae-vex] [ak-see-uh m] According to dictionary.com, the definition of the word AXIOM
[ak-see-uhm] means a self-evident truth theorem. The idealism of Avex Axiom, is a personality that extends this truth theorem into techno as it has that consistent aesthetic that gives techno its self-inventive quality. I find a lot of sound inspiration from electronic music, I like house-progressive/tech/funky, DnB, and experimental. I also like all kinds of rock, alternative, industrial, classical, and some forms of jazz. I find music to be rather similar even though electronic music doesn’t have too much to do with the traditional form of classical music theory. A true test of musical realism is to keep it interesting, funky, lifting, dark industrial like and driving, giving a hopeful feeling into the souls of each listener. I like music to build a suspenseful journey through the eternal then and the constant now as well as through the mind and soul of the curiously captivated, electronic music can take us to the place where we want to go. The escape from reality and into a utopian environment within our souls is where I love seeing people go. Electronic music may very well be the only universal language so to actually speak through sounds without language into the dance floor speakers and transcending into the shoes and into the souls of each individual looking to get out of their reality for a moment to be taken to the place where they want to go in their minds. I am inspired by artists I work with including all the fans and friends that have supported me though out my music career. I am also inspired by the creativity and endless possibilities of electronic music, sub-cultures of raves, street crews, society in general, along with being a graffiti artist…. “until I got caught in the 90's”….This has given me a specific view and respect for what electronic music means which is where the term Avex Axiom derives from. I have played some wonderful and interesting events in the world which have included performing outdoor festivals in caves, barns, and boats. Warehouse shows in dark and dingy industrial neighborhoods of Chicago and New York , concert events, prolific club nights, and performing at the world famous Burning Man festivals, Love Parade festivals in San Francisco and Mexico as well as performing at events pertaining to the Movement festival in Detroit and the WMC in Miami . When I am in the studio I endeavor to develop a unique twist of funky tough, dark, tribal sounds as well as ambient like intelligent creative sounds that I have always embraced ever since I was 15. I feel that with all the talented artists out there in the world, we can work together to create a charteristic of what makes Electronic Music alive in today’s times as well as to further the aspect of what Electronic Music was made to be in the first place.”To make use of the inaudible, audible, one must create from its absence. The ideas that russolo's "Art of Noises" in 1913 had as well as the influences and situations Kraftwerk found themselves in the 50's/60's being a "shock" to society with in their attempt to create a "german industrial sound" and to counter anglo-American centrism, along with the ideas behind planet rock, funkadelic, may, atkins, saunderson and the overall idea of futurism.
