| So I'm an independant choreographer in Montreal, trying to get my work seen as much as possible and still working another job managing a clothing store to pay bills. I'm into music and partying, and on the artistic side have had the oppurtunity to work with some great musicians like vitaminsforyou, the Bell Orchestre and Dave Madden. Most recently I had the amazing experience of seeing my work in a video produced for Cirque du Soleil's Torrida show. Music is always an inspiration in my work, and my youthful memories of dancing at warehouse parties continues to inspie me as well. I'm much more interested in people totally in the moment on the dancefloor than watching a trained dancer perform a tight choreography. I beleive there is emotion in repitition. That by stringing together a series of presice clicks and tiny gestures we can take a journey from the physical into something more. Miniscule motions canbe repeated over and over again, pushing the performer into an intense physical state. It is in this state that a performer can unlock the deepest emotion in the smallest gesture, pushing out feelings buried inside muscle memory. I am continually striving for this spontaneous, passionate quality. I hope to take people to an emotionally uninhibited place, It is there that we can discover truly authentic gestures, images and sensations. That may have sounded super artsy and annoying, but whatever....I'm going to be updating this site, so forgive me if it looks like shit.
