| Combining elements of both old and new school punk and rock with the addition of undeniably beautiful melodies, The Smears create an indestructible, intense style flooded with passion and emotion. Powerhouse drummer Angela, paired with the uninhibited soaring vocal stylings and guitar playing of Rene, founded The Smears in late 2002 in Vancouver British Columbia. The band quickly received praise and admiration from the Vancouver music scene, while also gaining a rapidly growing loyal fan base. Along the way, they picked up young Dustin with his in-your-face attack and non-stop energy on lead guitar, and at last finding Lisa Sinner on bass.
