TO FIND OUT MORE READ ON TO HEAR SAYTEK LIVE CLICK BELOW SAYTEK & MACHINE FUNC RECORDS BIOG: With his MachineFunc label already receiving rapturous applause, a string of critically acclaimed releases under his belt and a live set that really does what it says on the tin – London house & techno producer, Saytek (Joseph Keevill) is already carving out a noticeably reputable name for himself amongst fellow peers, followers, superstar DJ’s and industry big wigs… Armed with a wealth of enviable knowledge in technical wizardry & production, Saytek’s roots predominently stem from his deep passion for performing his intricate sets live as much as is possible. Using a Roland synth/sampler/drum machine workstation synced to ableton live & a controller/keyboard to wow the crowds, Saytek arranges, mixes, triggers, re-samples and tweaks effects on the fly, making his electrifying shows as live as pattern-based electronic music gets. When the mind-blowing combination of Saytek’s production skills and his raw originality are blended into a live set, the sound is a stripped down underground dance floor funk that manages to be diverse, electrifying and genre-defying. Its no surprise then that the buzz around Saytek is growing and attracting industry praise. Having this element of panache and unique style has meant that over the past couple of years, the demand for his amazing technical live sets has risen and continues to grow. Saytek’s live sets at The End in London are considered a firm favourite amongst many on the underground scene and his innovative & improvised style has earned him being booked time and time again for peak slots in clubs from London to Berlin to Spain and playing alongside some of the worlds most respected DJs. Sayteks undeniable talents have resulted in him being snapped up by a string of prolific labels such as Evolved (Intec’s sister label), Console, Blue Black, King-size & Creative. His tracks have appeared on many compilations including Meat Katie’s “beyond the darkness” and “Amnesia underground” vol.2. Having the likes of Meat Katie,Danny Howells , Carl Cox, Kevin Saunderson, Terry Francis ,Phil Kieran, Peace Division and John Digweed all champion and play Sayteks releases gave him a platform to start up his own label, MachineFunc Records in 2007. Its first release, “Times Change” Ep received critical acclaim and made it’s way onto the play lists of Kiss 100, BBC Radio, and many top international shows. Gaining a huge following and dj support from the likes of Laurent Garnier, Claude Von Stroke, and Dave Mothersole, the “Times Change” Ep was a defining moment for Saytek and his label. The MachineFunc imprint sees some exciting projects for the rest of 2007 and will serve as a vehicle for Saytek’s own productions as well as collaboration projects. Rather than sticking to one genre Machine Func will provide quality dance floor electronics spanning techno, electronica , underground house and electro breaks with the view to rocking the floor as well as an emotive listening experience.
