| My name is Ramiro Martinez, and I'm here to talk all about the Process of Making Music. I love music! I am from Zacatecas, a Central State in Mexico. I'm the oldest of five children. I lived most of the time in Guadalajara. Early in my twenties, I took Guitar and Music Theory Lessons at the University of Guadalajara. I got a College Degree in Teaching (Elementary Education). Ten years ago I moved to Tijuana and I recorded some Gospel songs there (I played electric Bass in a Church Choir). Later I moved to Oceanside, CA. Here in Oceanside I'm earning a Digital Audio Production Certificate at Miracosta College.I'm working in a Demo with my songs. I have a small Home Recording Studio. My Job is playing and recording the Music. I'm not a singer I'm just a Musician. So when the basic tracks are finished, a friend of mine who lives in L.A. does the vocals. My goal is to get my songs copyrighted, published and finally recorded by other people. When I was in my late teens, I learned to play Acoustic Guitar and I began writing my own songs. In the 80's I played Guitar, Keyboards and Electric Bass with a "Top Forty" Band. We played at parties, weddings,and so on. In the 90's I played the roles of Manager and Agent. Now, I'm looking for a new career...I'd want to be a Songwriter. Want this badge? |
