Books:It has a really cliche sounding title, I don't know what the author was thinking, but I think my favorite book of all time is definitely Cosmic Encounter(I KNOW, I know, it sounds silly)...But it's great...It's basically an extremely sophisticated, and VERY intellectual sci-fi story - set in the 1700's - it's awesome because a lot of the book is centered around how a person from that era would view technology that they don't understand, and have NO reference point to relate to....Time travel, human resurrection, political corruption, witty humor, it's all in there..great book...And the main character's a pirate!.. |
