Vedette will play LIVE on May 2nd at the Nudity and Antiquity or a seductive combination. Add dolphins for a playful counter balance, or abstract/surreal touch. The visual counterpart arrived after recording was complete but sprung from the same well of inspiration. A little time traveling and the pinup suddenly becomes a less threatening and more nostalgic entity, and those sepia tones and aged prints reflect that time when DADA and surrealism were coming alive and these movements were a direct influence on the music created. Abandon the straight narrative and let the sub-conscious write the play for screens and CD Vedette is Manuel Stagars & Neil Carlill Neil Carlill was a founding member of Delicatessen (Rough Trade/Big Life), who recorded three albums on the UK’s mid 90’s Alternative/Experimental music scene. Manuel Stagars as a composer, artist and producer has recorded many experimental/ambient albums and participated in Art Installations in Europe and America.
