| In 1972 after surviving the andy warhol underground scene Elda Stilletto started her first band with "Walk on the Wild Side's" Holly Woodlawn. Holly spun off to become a cabaret singer so Elda found a waitress at Max's Kansas City, Debbie Harry and a few other musicians and launched the Stillettos. Two years later when offered a record deal for only the female vocalists, the band split. Elda continued to perform as a soloist until 1975. Wrecked by the death of her long time lover Eric Emerson of the Magic Tramps, she didn't take the stage again until 1977. Punk Trampoline is music recorded from this period until 1979. It features some of the most off the wall artists of that time. From there she choose to search for happiness instead of a record deal and she found it. Her book Elda Rose is soon to be released. It gives all the dark, sorted and hilarious details of what happened to her up until 1975. Be on the lookout for it. For more details see the review at www.rwsmagazine.com | |
