Imagine musicians in the same room at the same time, surrounded by a mess of patch cords, pro-tools, and funky mics. worlds collide and spirits fly in this little homespun studio, tucked away inside the depths of a secluded forest hills compound.WingDing was founded as a karmic playhouse where George Marinelli could escape to record the work of his own musical pursuits, as well as other like-minded expatriates living on the artistic fringe of the music city. The studio was a magnet for songs with edge, a reason for being, and something different to say, musically or otherwise.Before long, the WingDing gift shop became crowded with clients hanging out, sipping coffee and waiting to get a piece of the vibe, and a reason to remember why music mattered in the first place. remember 45s and EPs, Stax and Motown and Studio One, a top 40 full of all musical styles, and hit records that blew your mind with experimentation?
