Raised in Roanoke, Virginia, Melissa moved to Nashville after spending five years in Boston, MA studying at Berklee College of Music. Melissa started writing her own material six years ago and hasnt looked back. Its put a whole new twist into music for me; something I just never thought about trying and now, I wonder what took me so long. In August 2003, Melissa released her debut CD entitled Simple Life, which she and Angel Roman co-produced. Simple Life is a collection of songs about love and life; most of the songs were inspired by moments of growth in her own life. While in Nashville, Melissa spent considerable time doing session work for songwriters, as well as working on her own material. Melissa recently moved to Los Angeles where she is pursuing her music further. Her songs I Believe and Without You were both placed in the Canadian television series The Eleventh Hour. Her CD has also just been placed in rotation on the acoustic channel of radioio.com , a web radio station with over 12,000 subscribers.
